Soundsuits are costumes created by Nick Cave in response to the racial profiling of Rodney King in 1991. They are made out of materials that represent the creator's message. The theme of my soundsuit is marine pollution, specifically oil spills and some coral bleaching. The soundsuit represents the result of oil spills in the ocean with the oil slick dress and animals covered in oil, but there's still hope in preventing these mistakes again with the alive orange anemone and brain coral.  I chose this theme because I have a big interest in the ocean, and I care about marine life and am willing to learn more about what's happening in the ocean.  Some texture I used are rocky coral and hardness of the boat and the greasiness of the oil.
